Based upon our experience of both building chillers and carrying out significant repairs and rebuilds in the field, Refcool was approached by one of our strategic partners to quote for a coil replacement at a client’s critical datacentre chiller in Northern Ireland.
The coil on the relatively new chiller had been damaged during transit/installation and although not leaking could not be guaranteed.
Our proposal was accepted and based upon the leadtime of our partners components, provisional dates were booked for the work to take place.
Given the highly critical nature of the system, the relatively large size of the coil and the travelling distance (including ferry crossing), the work was planned in detail to ensure the correct components, tools and materials were taken to site.
Final dates were agreed and the work was completed on time by two of our highly experienced team, one member being one of our own in-house factory technicians.
Our client attended site to inspect and successfully pass off the work and the end users critical site was restored to full N+1 capacity.
